ForeOptics Awarded AFWERX SBIR Phase I to Revolutionize Supply Chain Optimization

Company will showcase proven solution for improving force readiness by reducing supply chain risk

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.– May 13, 2024 – ForeOptics, a leader in supply chain, risk and resiliency, announced that it was selected by AFWERX for a SBIR Phase I focused on supplier risk classification and supplier delivery forecast to address the most pressing challenges in the Department of the Air Force (DAF).

The Air Force Research Laboratory and AFWERX have partnered to streamline the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) process by accelerating the small business experience through faster proposal to award timelines, changing the pool of potential applicants by expanding opportunities to small business and eliminating bureaucratic overhead by continually implementing process improvement changes in contract execution. The DAF began offering the Open Topic SBIR/STTR program in 2018, which expanded the range of innovations the DAF funded and now on May 13, 2024, ForeOptics will start its journey to create and provide innovative capabilities that will strengthen the national defense of the United States of America.

“Innovation for our national defense demands precision at every level. We are honored to collaborate with AFWERX on this pivotal project,” said ForeOptics CEO and Founder Seema Phull. “With proven technology and decades of experience, ForeOptics enhances force readiness through superior supply chain resilience. By leveraging industry best practices and technological excellence, we aim to transform supply chain management, ensuring resilience, reliability and efficiency at every step in the process.”

The DAM Suite leverages industry best practices, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to develop an innovative supplier performance forecast and risk classification system. By delivering high-fidelity supply risk categorizations and forecasts down to the purchase order level, ForeOptics can mitigate supplier delivery risks to improve resiliency and force readiness.
