The Strategic Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing ForeOptics Supply Chain Analyst consultants developing and implementing effective Supply Chain Planning and Operations designs for ForeOptics’ clients in the Aerospace sector. This is an on-site, customer-facing consultant role located in Huntsville, AL.
The Strategic Supply Chain Manager will ensure delivery of solutions to drive self-correcting continuous improvement maximizing production output. As a highly collaborative role in nature, the Strategic Supply Chain Manager will partner with key stakeholders including senior leadership within ForeOptics and the client.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in individual contributor and managerial roles in hands-on planning in a complex aerospace manufacturing environment, S&OP/IBP design and implementation, ERP/MRP systems and supply chain network planning, training teams and organizational development, and overall business process transformation.

Essential Functions

• Work with ForeOptics and Client stakeholders to design and implement end-to-end Supply Chain Planning and Operations process improvements
• Develop and implement optimized inventory management processes to maximize part availability and minimize end item cycle time
• Recommend and design KPIs, dashboards, and other management operating system elements depicting Supply Chain and Operations process health/risk areas to foster efficient communication, escalations, and root-cause corrective actions
• Support training through material development, delivery, and retention assessment as well as coaching ForeOptics and Client team members
• Work dynamically to support the immediate short-term needs of the client with interim solutions while concurrently working to establish the long-term solution
• Delivers methodologies to monitor and maintain end-to-end planning data integrity

Required Education, Experience, Licenses

• Advanced degree and professional certifications in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or Engineering preferred
• Eight to ten years’ experience in a Supply Chain or Operations role required, of which three to five years are in a role managing direct and indirect reports
• Experience in Aerospace & Defense strongly preferred
• Experience in an MRO environment strongly preferred
• At least two years’ experience in a consulting role preferred
• Experience with ERP/MRP planning software packages
• Greenbelt, Blackbelt or Lean certification
• Experience in mature S&OP processes
• Expert ability in use of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel in support of analysis
• Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing complex process and systems change projects
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills

Certification/License:

• Preferred: CPIM, CSCP
